BIZARRO CEREMONY
There's an unspoken rule at goth clubs: Keep your distance on the dance floor. The Gothic Shuffle and rivetheads' Air Traffik Kontroller flailings require a lot of room; cramping anyone's subcultural style could result in an ankh-related injury. But at DJ Mothra's latest Fugbug production, Goths Gone Wild, even the unspoken rules are meant to be broken. Watch scantily clad Ceremony-goers grapple in kiddie wading pools during the night's main attraction: Jell-O wrestling (featuring black Jell-O, of course). And if the anti-tan from your windowless office job simply isn't pale enough, goth makeover experts will be standing at the ready, black eyeliner and white greasepaint in hand. Let's not forget the fabulous prizes Mothra will be handing out: IntelliVision game systems and vintage Nightmare Before Christmas trinkets to the lucky winners. Local favorite DJ Addam and wunderkind Krztov will be spinning amid the gelatinous antics, with Dr. Yarm opening. An Tua Nua, 835 Beacon St., Boston. 617.262.2121. 9pm/21+/$5 (18+/$6). www.ceremonyboston.com, www.fugbug.net
