the images in the following galleries, while tasteful, exhibit mature themes.

: photo-noir :
The photo-noir project began in 1999 as a series of exhibitions, with the entire body of work rarely shown in it's entirety (in book format). Early versions of the website helped to shape the concepts of each component "gallery", and further explorations produced a more complete vision released in 2001. Continuing with these themes, the physical portfolios have grown to excess, and the version presented here compromises by presenting a digested publication of the current photo-noir.

: figurative :
An expansion of the ideas set forth in the 'movements' group, the 'figurative' collection was compiled for exhibition and published as a catalogue of works in early 2004. The photographs in this collection present the human figure as lines, forms, and spatial objects that work within (or beyond) the constraits of the print borders. With a heavy emphasis on weight and negative space, the pieces in the series combine to create an overall metaphor of earthly and artistic mathematics - the perception of which underlies the human sense of beauty.
