i looked into the eyes of jesus,
when i spoke to him today,
and he told me that what he meant,
was not what they say that he meant today...

he said:

"why can't you see?
how many have suffered in the name of belief?
the lord is your shepherd?
you're nothing but sheep!
how can you say you believe in me?"

i heard the voice of god today,
when i looked at mother earth...
mankind took their creation,
and asked himself what it was worth...

she said:

"why can't you see?
you've cut down my sacred garden with your filthy machines!
you place all the blame on adam and eve,
how can you say you believe in me?"

then the lord gave me a mission,
to do great things before i die...
i said "christ, i'm only human..."
and he said:

"hey man, so am i..."

"why can't you see?
you've turned everything around for your own selfish greed,
you've turned a Paradise into a mockery,
how can you say you believe in me?"
